Immigration Medical Examinations (IME) for Canadian Visa applicants consist of a medical history, physical exam, and laboratory and radiological test. The mandatory laboratory and radiological test includes:

Test Age
Urine Examination ≥ 5 years
Chest X-ray ≥ 11 years

Note: The above tests may also be indicated for the below age limit depending on the medical condition.

 

Required Documentation

You need to bring the following documents at the time of your medical examination:

  • Original and valid passport with one photocopy or alternatively a clearly readable photocopy of valid passport along with original and valid Computerized National Identity Card issued by NADRA.
    • Refugees applicant :  Refugee Identity card issued by NADRA/UNCHR or Tazkira.
  • Health request letter containing IME or UCI* number.
  • It is mandatory for Refugee applicants to please bring Polio vaccination Card at the day of their appointment
  • Medical test reports regarding past or current medical status
  • Antenatal card for pregnant ladies.
  • Eyeglasses or Contact Lens.
  • Applicants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian who cannot provide consent and make decisions on their behalf.
  • A chaperone will be offered and available during the physical examination for all applicants. If you have a medical requirement, you can bring a family member, support person to your appointment. Let the clinic know when you make your appointment if you will be bringing another person with you. However, the clinic will evaluate the entry of non-appointed person on an individual case base and the available seating space within the premises.
  • Proof of relationship (of parent or legal guardian) is necessary when consenting to conduct IMEs for children.
  • FRC (Family Registration Certificate) for Pakistani nationals.
  • Marriage certificate of the mother, wherein, Father name of the accompanying children is entered.
  • We can request for legal papers (court or government orders) allowing the legal guardian to take custody of the child.

Please note: it will take approximately 03 to 04 hours to complete your health assessment.

Health Request Letter: After lodging your visa Application, the visa officer issues a health request letter to all intending migrants who need to go through a medical examination This letter indicates your IME or UCI number, except for those intended for Upfront Medical Examination applicants whose visa category is 'Temporary Worker,' 'Student,' or 'Visitor. Service Fee

The below service fee is collected at IOM Migration Health Assessment centers. It covers the cost for initial IME which includes Physical examination, Urine analysis & chest x-ray.

Last fee is effective from 1st June. 2023

From 15yrs and above PE,Urine Test, CXR, VDRL,HIV(Additional Test Serum Creatinine) PKR 31,000/- PKR 32,000/-
Reassessment   PKR 20,000/- PKR 20,500/-
Follow-up Charges Fixed   PKR 3,000/- PKR 3,000/-
Cases with CXR Only   PKR 8,500/- PKR 9,000/-

Health assessment fees are subject to change. Screening at Lahore center applies 16% GST on Laboratory and Radiology test on top of the above service fee.

Additional Medical test, including Sputum examination, furtherance request for a repeat chest X-Ray and specialist consultation are not included on service fee and will be charged separately.
