Camp Management Training Starts in Flood-Hit Pakistan
Pakistan - IOM Pakistan has started camp coordination and camp management (CCCM) training in flood-affected districts of Pakistan’s Sindh province, at the request of the Sindh Provincial Disaster Management Authority.
To date, 80 camp managers, social mobilizers, community members and displaced people have taken part in four on-site trainings at future camp locations in Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Kashmore.
The programme, funded by the UK Department of International Development (DFID) and Finland, focuses on shelter, health, sanitation, nutrition and concepts including protection, the rights of displaced people and how to apply these principles in camps.
Four more CCCM emergency trainings are scheduled for 120 government officials and NGO staff in Kashmore and Shikarpur.
