International Migration Review Forum 2022
The first International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on 17-20 May 2022. The goal: to review the progress made at the local, national, regional and global levels in implementing the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM).
The quadrennial International Migration Review Forum will be hosted by the President of the UN General Assembly. It consists of four interactive multi-stakeholder round tables, a policy dialogue, and a plenary. It will result in an intergovernmentally agreed Progress Declaration. An informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearing, hosted by the PGA, will take place on the day immediately preceding the Forum (16 May).
In the General Assembly resolution A/RES/73/195, Member States agreed to review the progress made at the local, national, regional and global levels in implementing the GCM in the framework of the United Nations through a State-led approach and with the participation of all relevant stakeholders.
